The drawing in dynamic perspective section of the DVD is designed to reveal the hidden keys to training our creativity to perceive space and the geometry of space with greater authority. The principles of one-point and two-point perspective, and related visual systems will be presented in a bold problem-solving format ranging isnscale from the simple to the complex in order to accurately express our conceptual capabilities. Here are a few of the concepts you will learn in the Drawing in Dynamic Perspective version of the JD Orr Project Special Edition DVD:
Comprehend that “discovery” is not finding something new, but rather having the “eyes” to see something that has been there all along.
Begin to visualize objects and space by applying the fundamental principles of one- and two-point perspective.
Begin to develop a new “visual vocabulary” of facing planes, cut lines, vanishing points, special vanishing points, and how they relate to generating structure.
Start the process of building “visual confidence” to learn out to “begin” well.
Generate multiple series of hand drawings with all structure lines in place and build cubes forward, backwards, up, down and to both sides in the confines of their drawing space.
Practice basic techniques of standing over the work, drawing from the shoulder, and “keeping it light until it is right”.
Begin to be able to solve basic perspective challenges of basic geometric shapes; cones, cubes, rectangles, spheres, circles, triangles, etc.
Diagnose and determine the nature of one- and two-point perspective and identify their “governing” principles of generating objects in space.
